Our consultants and team of floral designers can create the perfect floral backdrop for any event. We offer years of experience and a vast knowledge of styles and design aesthetics. We enjoy enhancing any gathering, small or super grand, corporate or personal. We have worked with almost every venue in the surrounding area and have great working relationships with many other local businesses. We can connect you with local teams that provide services related to event and wedding planning to take care of all your needs. If you are getting married and thinking about booking us for your wedding floral, below is what you need to know about how our wedding services work. We look forward to hearing from you.
Congratulations to you both on your engagement! We are delighted that you found us and are considering Flora to help turn your botanical visions into reality. It would be an honor to help make the flowers, décor and visual styling of your dream wedding effortlessly beautiful.
Our Process: Designing Your Big Day
You will need to complete our online inquiry form found here. This will allow us to make sure that your wedding date and location works with our schedule, and to gather some basic details from you. Next, we can schedule a time to sit down with you (and your fiancé, mom, best friend, or whoever you’d like to be involved) to develop a shared vision of what your wedding looks like. This consultation can be done here at the Flora Shop, or via phone.
The design consultation is where we get to know you and work together on the look of your wedding. Please have a look at our portfolio to see what things there get you excited. Feel free to email or bring photos, magazine clippings, Pinterest walls or anything that inspires you.
We want to establish a rapport with you based on a shared vision of what your wedding should look like. This will enable us to trust each other in making the right choices to make your wedding beautiful. In the design consultation, we will discuss your wish list, design and the budget to achieve this vision. Our philosophy is that we can work with any budget. Of course this may mean guiding you to prioritizing your needs and wants to stay within your comfort range and designing within those guidelines.
You’ve probably never budgeted for a wedding before, so here are some general guidelines for our prices.
A bridal bouquet typically starts at $200.00
A bridesmaid’s bouquet typically starts at $100.00
A basic floral centerpiece for an 8 to 10 person round table typically costs $125.00 to $175.00.
Smaller centerpieces or non-floral rentals such as candelabras or lanterns can be less expensive. Larger, elevated, or more elaborate centerpieces will be more expensive.
Tablescapes or arrangements of numerous smaller items can be less expensive, but typically also involve additional labor to set up and take down. In addition to typical floral items, we also offer many additional décor options such as chuppahs and arches. Please just ask what we have available and we are happy to share.
Your final quote will include delivery, on-site labor for set up and teardown, and sales tax.
The sooner you have a clear sense of your budget and can share it with us, the more we are able to help you design solutions to meet it. It is no fun for you or for us to design flowers based on a magazine picture you love, when it ends up being too far above your budget to make sense.
Quote and Deposit
After your design consultation, we’ll have your wish list and will be able to give you a detailed quote for the items we spoke about. This is your proposal and you should receive it 1-2 weeks after your initial consultation. The quote will describe the bouquets, centerpieces and other components of your wedding décor, including rental items, labor and delivery. The quote also covers your initial design consultation, as well as a pre-wedding meeting. It’s a full description of what you’ll get and what it will cost, with no hidden charges later. We will aim for your budget and might suggest making certain items optional in order to fit within your constraints.
We recognize that sometimes adjustments may initially need to be made to the proposal once you have looked it over. We are happy to collaborate with you on revisions, however large changes that require additional consultation meetings may incur an additional charge. Likewise, if a before-wedding site-visit to your venue is required, this may also incur an additional charge. In any case, we are here for you by phone or email as things come up in the time leading up to your wedding. If something changes or you have a question, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Proposals expire 30 days after they have been given to you. If you decide you’d like to work with us, a 50% deposit of the quote secures your wedding date. The remaining payment will be due two weeks prior to your wedding date.
Pre Wedding Meeting
Approximately four to six weeks out from your wedding, we’ll have our final meeting. We’d like to do it in person, but over the phone works too. We know a lot of you are from out of town and will be busy finalizing plans by then. This meeting locks down what we are doing. We’ll be looking to you for finals on all the details. Including, but not limited to, the final count of tables, the rental items you need, what all the signs will say, when and where the flowers should be delivered, and so on. We’ll still do our best to accommodate any changes after this date (adding a table or a boutonniere, for example), but major changes may not be possible. This is also a reminder that the remaining 50% balance of your deposit is due two weeks before your wedding date, and becomes non-refundable.
When your wedding day arrives, all you have to do is get married and enjoy! We’ll have all the details on the flowers, décor and styling nailed down. Everything will be there and waiting just as we worked out with you. We’ll probably see you when we deliver the bouquets, if needed, we’ll be back at the end of the night to collect rental items, clean up and to congratulate you on being married!
Flora wedding Services
Our typical wedding is full service. We deliver flowers for the wedding party (bouquets, boutonnieres, etc.) set up décor items before the ceremony and reception. Returning after they are over to clean up and collect rental items. This allows you to make use of our extensive inventory of rental items, including flower vessels, table numbers, lighting, cookie table trays and a large variety of décor. If you wish to give away flowers at the end of the wedding, we can make arrangements that are easily popped out of their vessels, or we can use purchased vessels to give away. Likewise, if you’d like to donate your flowers at the end, we work closely with Meals on Wheels, a volunteer-based organization that delivers meals to home-bound seniors in the area, and we’d love to be able to donate leftover flowers to brighten a senior’s day. Full Service is our most flexible wedding option. Cost minimums may apply depending on the season and for certain holidays.
We will deliver flowers for the wedding party (bouquets, boutonnieres, etc.) for the ceremony, and/or for the reception. Additional delivery charges may apply for multiple drop-off locations. We will place table centerpieces on the table for you, as long as the tables are already set up and waiting for us. We will not return to remove any items at the end of the ceremony or reception, so this type of service places some limits on your options.
- Ceremony flowers and reception centerpieces must be in disposable/biodegradable container vessels, or you must pay for the vessels (and they are yours to keep or give away).
- Centerpieces must be single-piece arrangements (no tablescapes, collections of multiple bottles, etc.).
- We cannot supply rental items with drop-off service.
You are responsible for picking up your flowers on the wedding day or the day before. Typically, this works well if you only need bouquets, boutonnieres and corsages. This is an economical option particularly appropriate for a DIY couple or one who doesn’t need table centerpieces.
